Broadwater camp site
Broadwater is the name given to a large inlet of water north of Surfers Paradise. This shallow tidal water way has also given its' name to the caravan park we stayed at while on the Gold Coast. The camp site is fairly plain but it has all of the amenities we needed. The shower blocks and laundry here are well equipped.

Eating dinner under the shelter at Broadwater.

The kitchen towed behind the coach provided us with all of our meals for the trip apart from those during the express bus travel. All meals were excellent, varied and more than adequate in size.

The laundry facilities at broadwater were excellent.

From what I recall the cost of a wash was $4.40. This required two two dollar coins and two twenty cent pieces. The machines were double loaders so you could put a lot into them. The wash takes about twenty five minutes. The Dryers cost $2 for about ten minutes.
